Kabar menggembirakan datang dari 20 mahasiswa PTI yang berhasil lulus tanpa melalui proses pembuatan laporan skripsi dan sidang pendadaran. Ke-20 mahasiswa itu dinyatakan lulus setelah mengikuti konferensi internasional sebagai bentuk implementasi dari sistem OBE. Menurut Arif Setiawan, saat pelepasan wisudawan PTI yang diselenggarakan di Hotel Adhiwangsa (Senin 21 Maret 2022), Implementasi OBE dapat meningkatkan pengalaman mahasiswa karena mahasiswa perlu menulis artikel dan presentasi di konferensi internasional.
Sistem OBE merupakan pilihan yang tepat untuk menumbuhkan talenta mahasiswa. Sistem OBE merupakan salah satu program yang mempunyai nilai inovasi yang strategis serta memiliki talenta penting untuk mengantarkan mahasiswa menjadi alumni UMS yang unggul. Mahasiswa bisa menghasilkan hak paten, menghasilkan wirausaha baru, menghasilkan riset teknologi, melakukan proyek kemanusiaan, serta menghasilkan proses hak cipta yang dilindungi oleh Kementerian Hukum Republik Indonesia maka bisa dikonversi dan bisa menggantikan skripsi apabila berbasis Outcame-Based Education (OBE).
